A light to the blind and probably hopeless…Part 1
Dear Sony fanboy,
To start off this letter, and to prevent premptive flame wars, let me assure you that Microsoft and Nintendo fanboys are going to get their own within the next week, but until then, suck it up.
I have come to despise every single one of you. Why is it that you would blindly follow a product without even a release date right off a cliff? Would you do it if Ken Kuturagi told you, in doing so, you would somehow produce yet another teraflop? After some of your idiotic statements on respect deserving -atleast until you ruined them- websites such as digg and slashdot, I wouldn’t be surprised. Usually somewhere along the lines of “teh PS3 is WAY BeTTER thEn the F@gbOX!!!111!!”, nothing you say makes any intelligent or grammatical sense and after a long drawn out process, I’ve finally decided that you are the only people in this world that bullshit more then your cocky, arrogant, and incredibly annoying leader, Ken Kuturagi. At one time, this man was a very respectful person -he MIGHT have created the Playstation, after all- but now he’s just a bumbling moron. Yet, after his barrage of lies and feature cutting, which are too numerous to list, you still follow everything he says like John 3:16? Get a life, or atleast jack back into those Playstation 2 games which feature Toy Story 2 graphics and the emotion enginge. Oh wait, nevermind, I guess I did list a few. Maybe if you broke up the circle jerks around words such as Cell and Teraflop, you would recognize the trap that you are falling into.
Common perception is that the guys over at Sony are the marketing clones of Stephen Hawking, but in reality you are just incredibly gullible. “Woohoo! 1080p is going to be amazing!” I’m not going to deny that it isn’t, but how many of you actually have an HDTV that displays that resolution? Isn’t the game going to suck the same in 720p resolution, or even standard resolution, if the game sucks? Here’s one of the most humorous ones: “Omg omg 120 frames per second!” (*aside* can’t you just hear the increased rate of wrist movement? /aside) Well, as far as I know games are pretty damn smooth at 30fps and at 60fps they seem perfect to my eyes…maybe my eyes are just bad. And, for my last and favorite example, “The PS3 is going to crush the Revolution!” Seriously, what about this statement makes any sense? What is your logic in arguing that an unreleased console is better then another unreleased console? I hate to break it to you guys, but the Revolution is the only console that hasn’t gotten any bad press. Nintendo is the company pulling all the right strings right now and if any of you uneducated airheads knew anything about the Marketing Concept, you would agree or at the least, form a somewhat educated response.
In conclusion, I could’ve probably just said “shut the fuck up and stop ruining my internet” and you might have been able to understand me better, but unlike you, I give reasoning to my opinions.
Yours truly,
Fito

It’s spelled “Kutaragi,” bitch.
Most Sony people I know want both the Revolution and the PS3 this time around.
I was teaching a class of 6th graders today, and during math they imagined getting a loan at say 5% interest. A student teacher asked, “What do you want to buy, like an XBOX 360?” Mostly silence, with 5-6 of them just saying, “Playstation 3.”
You have to be in 5th grade or below to want the 360.
Wow…
1. No, I spelled it right
2. Yeah? Considering that the PS3 hasn’t launched yet, it’s common sense for Sony fans not to switch over to an Xbox 360. I’ve said numerous times in the past that the real console war starts Holiday 2007.
3. I love how fifth grade is the cutoff for wanting an Xbox 360. I can definitely remember those long lines of gamers watching Sesame Street outside of retailers back in November.
4. I’d just like to thank you for completely proving my point.
Talk to you later buddy.
I am going to say that right now it is pretty pointless to argue “console X will be console Y” just simply for the fact that there is only one console on the market right now(out of the “next gen” systems). So you can either take it or leave it. If you dont like the 360, props to you, but if you are going to say that the PS3 is better, then why don’t you bring over your PS3 and plop it down to a 360 and lets compare the systems side by side…oh wait…im sorrry, i forgot the PS3 doesnt even have a launch day yet.
I dont own a 360, and probally wont until the price drops; but a Revolution will more than likely have a spot on my entertainment center.
LOL, I agree with Kaleb in reality.
All my schtick was jokes and anecdotes, paliafito, no hard feelings.
(there seem to be hundreds of references to Kutaragi’s name spelled both ways…hmm)
Except the point about the crossover between PS3 and Revolution. That, I think, will be important. I think Revolution will be the 2nd console of choice even more than the GC was, and honestly I didn’t hear much Revolution interest from 360 folks even before the 360 dropped. Will this mean that game sales will be more split between the PS3/Revolution owners, while 360 owners are more dedicated? Will former XBox heads who bragged of superior hardware be prompted to switch allegiances now? (Then snub the Revolution for its “inferiority”)
“buddy”
The opening salvos of this war will really rain down when all of these systems and associated games are in the marketplace and all of these systems’ faults/wonders are discussed and decried in the forums.
Otherwise it is all academic, sirs.

MatrixStream to release world’s first High Definition IPTV
MatrixStream Technologies, Inc., will soon be releasing the world’s first H.264 AVC (advance video codec) Video on Demand and IPTV Set Top Box (STB) and PC Player capable of the highest of high definition (HD) signal formats with 1080 vertical pixels by 1920 horizontal pixels.
MatrixStream’s 1020HD STB will match and even exceed broadcast and satellite quality video over any broadband network the same way that VoIP can be used over any broadband connection.
Pictures of the IMX 1020 HD STB (For high resolution versions of these pictures, please go to: http://www.matrixstream.com/presskit).
Unlike most IPTV and Video on Demand (VOD) solutions on the market today, which are bogged down by broadband bandwidth congestion and integration issues which leads lengthy download periods or low quality Internet videos, proprietary MatrixStream technology leverages proprietary H.264 end-to-end solution, allowing viewers to watch videos in DVD or HD over any best effort broadband; capable of instant VOD, streaming DVD-quality video in real time.
Simply plug one end of the STB into a TV set and the other into any broadband connection, and then watch Video on Demand and IP broadcast TV in DVD or HD quality. With the easy-to-use remote control in hand, end users will be able to access an ever-increasing range of content and channels from around the world. Features to be included are friendly interactive menus, and e-commerce capabilities tied to MatrixStream’s dynamic advertising management (DAM) technology, which targets advertising based on individual user’s preferences and interests.
MatrixStream’s high-end, affordable (price yet to be determined) STB in conjunction with the complete end-to-end MatrixStream IPTV/VOD backend solution is engineered to work over any best effort broadband network with or without quality of service (QoS) and thus can be utilized to target the entire global broadband market, currently standing at just over 200 million broadband users worldwide. MatrixStream’s turnkey plug-n-play backend solution is fully integrated with IP STB and PC viewing clients which enable IPTV operators to deploy an IPTV service complete with billing management, subscriber management, channel management and digital rights management.
MatrixStream will be making the 1020HD available for trials in late January 2006 with a consumer edition scheduled for production by the end of the first quarter of 2006. In addition to its STB efforts, MatrixStream will be also launching its IMX1100 PC Player in late January 2006 from a client’s website, “Movie 99” (www.movie99.tv). The PC Player will feature over 300 free channels from around the world and 150 free DVD and HD quality movie clips.
